Zoe and Zechariah's flower story
It goes without saying that this year has been a tough one. For all the couples whose wedding plans have been scuppered. For the wedding venues which lie empty and for the suppliers whose diaries emptied in a matter of days. Yep, thanks Covid!
But towards the end of the summer restrictions loosened a little (for about two weeks I think!) and weddings could happen in groups of 30 or less. And I adore the fact that this meant some couples changed their original plans, made the most of the situation and just got married.
Zoe and Zechariah were one of these romantic couples. Originally they were due to get married this November at a gorgeous hotel in London. But once Covid hit, they changed their plans, embraced the situation and decided to have a small ceremony in the late summer.
And so their floral plans were modified a little. But not too much. Because when you love flowers you still have to have flowers at your wedding!
Zoe wanted her wedding flowers to be in tones of greys, greens and whites. Her Chuppah was to be classic and natural with plenty of depth, delicate nodding buds and the prettiest roses. And so we went for it using lots of textured foliage, flowers and berries. The scent of the eucalyptus and the garden roses was stunning and filled the Synagogue.
Zoe’s bouquet echoed the natural growing look of her Chuppah. Full of scented roses, snowberries, lisianthus and foliage it fell to a gentle cascade.
All of this helped set the scene for the most gorgeous wedding full of love and promises surrounded by family. And with more of Zoe and Zechariah’s family and friends watching the ceremony on Zoom outside the Synagogue it just proved that Covid can’t stop the love!
PS I absolutely can not wait to flower up their party next year x
