Bethan and Jack's flower story
From the very first time we met I knew Bethan and her family loved flowers. Sitting in my studio chatting through colour palettes and flowers was a complete joy. Bethan and her sister knew what they wanted and what flowers they loved. This was a great start for a wonderful family wedding.
I always think there is something very special about getting married in your family home. If the weather is good (fingers crossed!) then it is going to be a good party. Bethan’s family home was the scene for a perfect family wedding and the sun shone too - an added bonus.
Bethan wanted two ‘wow’ floral moments for her wedding. The first was to be a full on flower arch for her and Jack to get married under. This arch (which framed the garden and countryside views) was packed full of blush and ivory flowers and was at the end of an aisle that was lined with flower posies. Making this arch in the early morning sun was a highlight for me and it was so lovely to be part of the wedding morning excitement.
The next ‘wow’ moment Bethan and Jack wanted was in their reception tipi. For this we went up. A huge hanging floral chandelier greeted everyone who entered the tipi and was perfect for dancing under as the sun went down.
Having chosen such beautiful statement flowery pieces meant that we could go simple everywhere else. Jars of flowers decorated the tables and garlands of foliage wound around the tent. Simple, elegant and perfectly suited to a celebration in the garden.
Thank you so much to Bethan and Jack for asking us to be part of your wedding day,
