Devina and Jon's flower story
Jon and Devina were a dream to work with. Rustic, country and whimsical were the order of the day for this lovely couple. They wanted their flowers to be super pretty and natural. To do this we used lots of seasonal late summer blooms with grasses, seed heads and the odd feather. Their colour palette was full of the prettiest blushes and vintage pinks, ivory and tiny touches of plum.
Dahlias were perfect to give that old fashioned garden look. Together with fluffy astilbe, lysmachia, astrantia, spray roses, stock, snapdragons and sanguisorba this flower palette was a gorgeous old school one.
Devina's bouquet was a fluffy round textured posy finished with hessian and pearl ribbon. Her girls all carried fluffy clouds of gypsophila. Not too neat, these posies echoed the loose natural style of Devina's flowers.
Scattered around the venue were lots and lots of jam jars filled with flowers. Each jar was full of flowers and was decorated to tie in with their flowers and the rustic venue.
And I do love attention to detail and there is plenty here; Devina's hand painted leather jacket, the fabulous Doctor Martin's and of course, the smoke bomb. These special touches made for some wonderful pictures.
